Where To Buy Valspar Spray Paint

"Our new Valspar Spray Paint is based on extensive research into everything consumers want in a spray paint-and have never gotten in the past," says Jane Ryder, Valspar. "Simplicity, ease of use and the best colors are at the core of the new design and formula."

Easy-to-use design: The new Valspar Spray Paint can makes the spray painting experience easier, faster and cleaner than ever. The can's large, comfortable finger pad requires 35 percent less finger pressure than other spray paint cans. The patented spray top, an integral part of the can's design, shields the finger from paint for a cleaner spray-painting process and also features a twist-and-lock design, so there is no separate top to remove or replace after use. The built-in twist-and-lock mechanism enables cleaner and safer painting and storage by preventing unintentional spraying when the cap is twisted 90 degrees.

Valspar partnered with global design consultancy Webb deVlam to create the groundbreaking actuator. Launched in September 2011, this new closure will be used across all of Valspar's premium spray paint offerings, including Automotive and DIY, providing the brand with a marketable platform for growth and future innovation.

The new Valspar Spray Paint is available at Lowe's stores nationwide and select independent retailers. A global rollout in Australia and Europe is scheduled for spring 2012. For more information about Valspar spray paint, project ideas or to locate a retailer, visit www.ValsparSpray.com.

MyPerfectColor uses an acrylic enamel which is a fast-drying durable coating suitable for interior or exterior use. MyPerfectColor custom spray paint matched to Valspar 6002-6C Tropical Foliage enables you to conveniently achieve a professional spray-smooth finish in any color in any sheen. It sticks well to most surfaces including metal, plastics, powder-coatings, cabinets and primed or previously painted wood.

The MyPerfectColor 11oz spray will cover about 20 square feet per coat. Keep in mind that it is difficult to gauge spray paint need as the coverage is highly dependent on how it is applied. Learn more about how spray paint works at MyPerfectColor.

On the can is says do not dilute with water. But it was way too think for my sprayer. I had to add a bit of water. What effect will this have on the paint? It looks great and I gave it about 12 hours between coats. Should I put a top coat on because I had to think it a bit?? Thanks so much!!

Remedy: If you notice that the spray paint is starting to chip, you can apply a coat of Mod Podge to seal the paint. I have had these bins in my pantry/mudroom for over a year now and they are still holding up nicely after applying Mod Podge.

I am honestly not sure how that cold would affect the spray paint on the bins. If it were me, I would spray paint the outside and leave the inside (where placing ice and drinks) the original color. If you decide to try it, please let me know how it goes.

Thanks for this! I am about to try spray painting some small laundry baskets to use for toy storage. They are smooth so I was nervous about the paint sticking. Sounds like I have nothing to lose though!

Hello. I am wanting to spray paint all of my classroom bins to match my new theme. I am trying to get an idea of how many cans of spray paint I will need. How many cans of primer and paint did you need for the mudroom bins?

Hi! My husband is going to spray paint clear rubber maid plastic bins to hold toys. Should we spray paint the inside or outside of the bins? This is the spray paint we bought: Valspar Color Radiance Nautical Enamel Spray Paint.

Hi Mandy- I would definitely recommend spray painting the outside of the bins. Even with spray paint that is made to adhere to plastic, there can be slight chipping, and if you are using the bins for toys, I would think that having the paint on the inside (where toys are being tossed in and taken out), would increase the likelihood for chipping. Hope that helps ?

Hi Stephanie! Great question. What I would actually recommend is priming the plastic with a spray paint primer (like this one (affiliate link): ). Notice that it actually states that it bonds to plastic ? That should then allow the spray paint to work better (vs. Mod Podge). Hope that helps.

The first thing I did, was head to Lowes to check out their spray paint selection. I needed 8 centerpieces in total, so I decided to go with 4 different colors, allowing me to make 2 centerpieces in each color. I knew that I was going to stick with white flowers, so I wanted the vases to be bright & colorful. These colors were so springy!

  • If you don't clean your tile before painting it, dirt and grease can keep the paint from properly adhering. In addition to cleaning, you should lightly sand glossy tile to help the paint stick.
